It’s been awhile…

I started writing back during Pre Service Training, and then shortly after I got food poisoning and in the rush of that, swearing in as a volunteer, and arriving at permanent site I just kind of lost track of the fact I had even started a blog. Just another reminder to be careful what you commit to.

After swearing in!

So… What have I been up to? A lot of nothing and a lot of everything. I attended a few weddings, visited some nearby cities with other volunteers, caught up with some friends, and am on day who knows what of trying to edit a video for you all. School starts this Monday and I am excited to get working, but also to finally have a routine. Adjusting has been difficult. They tell you that a lot of Peace Corps service is like living in a fish bowl with everyone staring at you or watching to see what you are going to do, and that is in fact of what a majority of my life is like. I have these two younger host cousins that live next door and they love to come over to my house and just sit on the couch and stare at me. You would think me reading a book or just hanging out would be boring, but nope!

I know I am cutting it short and there is probably more to say but at least there is an update!
